Poppies abstract
The description fort this kit calls it a "cross stitch" . Should I assume it is NOT a "counted" cross stitch
but a stamped plain cross stitch?
Thanks, Sandra

Hello,

This is a counted cross stitch kit. If it were stamped, the product type would state "Product Type: Stamped Cross Stitch" so this kit will have blank fabric and it's for counted cross stitching :) Hope this helps!

It is my understanding that "cross stitch" is ALWAYS counted. It used to be that the stamped stuff was always called embroidery. Don't know when or why the description was changed and started causing a lot of confusion. Couldn't even find an explanation using GOOGLE!

I agree with you NANCYE G. Designs of just cross stitch were always counted. Designs for embroidery included stem stitch, lazy daisy stitch, cross stitches, French knots and a bunch more. Cross stitch only is counted. Embroidery is stamped and includes a lot of different stitches including the cross stitch. I don't know why some people have so much trouble with this.

SANDRA -- Please don't think that Sunshine & I are trying to insult you. There have been a lot of questions on this subject in this chat over the three or four years that I have participated. ECS always identifies STAMPED items. It would be nice if they would insert the word COUNTED in product descriptions.

There is a lot if confusion now, maybe with designers adding more types of stitching in the pattern.
This is really lovely., do you plan to do it.? If so enjoy
