Pattern by A. Mucha "Morning Awakening"
I was so happy to receive the above mentioned pattern this morning. Now I'm confused. The finished size that you give on the site to order is 18 count 20" x 26". On the actual pattern the finished size shows the same amount of stitches but measures 11" x 29 1/8" . Which one is right?

I'm hoping your site measurements are right because I cut and prepared my Aida cloth in anticipation of receiving the pattern. An early reply would be great as I'm so anxious to star cross stitching.

Hi Bea,
This sounds like a question for ECS "customer service." And ECS is closed on weekends BUT if you go to the 'Customer Care" heading above and click on it, you will get to where you can e-mail them or you can call them at
1-800-800-8517 on Monday. Also Kristi of ECS sometimes pops-in to the chat on Weekends, but most likely she will see your 'chat' question on Monday and will be able to assist you. Hope this helps! :)

"Project Size 19.6" x 27.9" on 14cnt"

I went to the pattern page for your pattern, and copied that from the page. They used 14ct for the model, which explains your size predicament. So, the 20" x 26" is right.

In the description up at the top of the pattern page, I noticed it mentioned 14, 18, and 22 ct, and I understood that to mean that on your cover page of your pattern, it lists the dimensions for all three counts, depending on which size you wanted to stitch it on. If you have prepared your Aida for 18ct, then your smaller dimensions are what you will stitch.

Thanks for your replies. Appreciate it. You're right, this is a question for ECS. Will contact them on Monday. The pattern information just doesn't jive with the info on the website.

The description lists the "project size." That means how large the stitching area is. You should add two to three inches in each direction to have enough room for framing. Everything Cross Stitch posts pattern descriptions and sizes that are supplied by the designer or manufacturer.
