I've gotten distracted.
Started stitching yesterday, when I suddenly decided I really don't like the color of little table I've been using. It's a light color, wood, kind of shiny finish, and just doesn't fit in with my "decor", which is old, scratched, dented, and chipped. So I thought I would paint it...like most things I do, it's going to take longer than I thought, and is a bit more work intensive than I thought. I managed to sand, paint, and stain it yesterday, but it's still a little sticky, and smells a bit. (turpentine) Now I have no table to hold the chart for my current big (for me) project. I've taken procrastination to a whole new level.

I busted my amateur standing this past weekend by traveling 600-odd miles to end up purchasing an apartment-type drop-leaf table...couldn't pass it by! Now I need to strip and waterproof...which means Home Depot. I can spend days wandering around oogling stuff to figure how I can use it--if it's on sale! 😄

To fit with your decor, as soon as the table is not tacky anymore see if you can find a 12-16" section of moderately heavy chain and beat the top of the table top to give it that antique-look; just be sure you do it outside to avoid hitting humans, animals, other furniture that is already "antiqued", chipped, dented and scratched

I'm pretty sure my neighbors already think I'm crazy, (like they have room to talk) if they would see me outside beating a table with chains, I would be the talk of the neighborhood!

My neighbors are the ones that showed my kids how to roll their eyes...and why...at a very young age. :) Come to think of it, they picked it up awfully quick. :)

Bermuda, my "decor" is so varied, if you zoned it, it looks like a extremely complicated basketball play. :) I'm not a formal-matchey-match-type. :)

The guy met my silly price--the amount you give the guy to look at you and not feel your hand sliding into his pocket. :) It doesn't need beating-up, just a bit of the right color to enhance personality... :)
