checked everything cross stitch and they carry various counts of aida including colors. I saw 16 count and I think (dangerous) they had 31 colors. anyhow you may find what you need. help this helps

Sometime ago, I definitely could not be comfortable with 28 count, to say nothing about 32 count. I just can't see the squares on either of them. So, I have no guilt in admitting that 16 count can be located. Or something close to it. If I saw a beautifully stitched mermaid, I wouldn't notice that the background fabric is not the exact color recommended by the designer. Another website 123stitch carries Sea Lily 16 count in several sizes.
All of us usually agree that there are no Cross Stitch Police! See if something else floats your boat, or mermaid.
I look at all the fabrics at the site PictureThisPlus.com. When I cannot easily find a color that I want, I go there, pick maybe up to 3 or 4 of their colors (I seldom use their "crystal" fabrics that sparkle because I think they take away from all the beads in these designs). I then send an email to their customer and Marilyn is great there! She can give you very informed facts about different colors that they dye. She has never disappointed me. I pick the greenish mermaids and bluey fabric for the background. Just before beginning, take a deep breath and know that you like it. Enjoy our hobby!

When you went to order the floss and ornaments for this pattern, did you hit the 'buy all' button? If you did then it automatically checked the box for the 32-count fabric. What you need to do is go back and hit the 'buy all" button that will put a check mark next to all the floss and other merchandise, BUT THEN I want you to scroll down to the BOTTOM of the floss list and tap the checked box next to the 32-count fabric and see if the check disappears out of the box. If it does get rid of tha check mark, then hit the purchase button. You will probably then need to go to the 'products' title above, tap on it and go to the sub-menu title 'fabrics' , find the 16-count colored Aida for this pattern and purchase it separately. You might want to call the 'customer service' dept. and ask them if they can include your 16-count Aida fabric with the other floss merchandise you bought for this pattern in the same package. The ECS 'customer service' dept. is wonderful and they are very helpful.
