This is just the pattern. ECS has most everything you need.

I found this pattern here on ECS's website and that price appears to be for the pattern only. When you pull up the item, there is a box about midway down on the right side titled "Product Supplies". This is a list of all the thread colors you will need, and even the fabric. You can choose to select "all" which will add all of the supplies to your cart, or you can check the individual boxes for only the colors you don't already have. Hope this helps. This is an Artecy chart. The directions and pages are very clear and helpful. Everything is explained in the chart to help you complete a beautiful pattern.

This is an Artecy pattern only. As such, it will be a multiple page, black & white symbol chart. Don't let the multiple pages deter you, as they are very easy to follow, & are absolutely beautiful when finished. I will say, please make a couple of copies of your pattern, & the color chart, & put the original away in a safe, easy to remember where, place. Now you will be free to mark up your pattern as you go.
The supplies you will need to do this, are listed beneath the pattern description.

I’m not sure how many years ago you put cross stitching to the side, but if you did so quite a few years ago, you may be surprised by the difference in costs between then and now AND the increasing detail of patterns being offered now.
While there are very nice simple beautiful cross stitch patterns being offered currently, I believe over the past 30+ years, there has been an increase of artists who design charts with extrodinary detail, such as HAED, Artecy, Geckorouge, Mystic Stitch, etc.,for those stitchers that ‘enjoy the challenge’ of the detailed charts. With that comes increased costs but it is well worth the cost!!
I am not an ECS employee but one of the stitchers on this ‘chat’ that saw your question. :)

Welcome back! :) You don't say how long it's been but since you're surprised at the cost of the pattern, and didn't mention the 79 colors, nor the size of this project, I'm guessing quite a few years. This is a beautiful, very detailed piece...and fairly large. There is a demand of commitment for these pieces, plan on at least a year, but know that it might be longer still until completion.
