EXCELLENT QUESTION -- Obviously (at least to me) you would need more floss to stitch a king size quilt as opposed to a single sized one. You would be using the same colors. There would be some flosses that you would need to buy more of. There would be some might only have 30 or 40 stitches of a particular color and one skein of that color would be plenty. Check with Customer Service (use the customer care link on the menu bar above). They might not have the answer right away but they should be able to research it for you before the item becomes available again.

I am guessing that the bigger the quilt, the more blocks you are going to need to finish the quilt. So in other words you will need more floss and fabric to complete the project.

The supply list that is posted is just for one package. So,if you are purchasing multiple packages of this product, you will to do the same for the floss. Hope this helps!
