The Lobster House - Cape May
Well folks, because of the weather or other circumstances for our anniversary, my husband's birthday in January and Valentine's Day....we couldn't make it to the Lobster House for dinner. Today we have sunshine...low winds...and the temp is all the way up to 42 degrees so we are going down this afternoon. This restaurant has been around for ages and sits on the "Wharf" in Cape May. I am attaching a drawing which is actually from their home page on the internet. You can google the restaurant and read about it as well as their full menu! I hope if any of you are ever in Cape May you will stop by this place. It is truly exceptional! In the summer there is a schooner docked along side the restaurant where you can eat outside!! No complaining for me today!!!!

I just reviewed the menu....yours truly will be having the House Special which is Lobster, Scallops & shrimp over Linguini....plus an order of Clams Casino!!!

Jersey - your meal sounds as though it was delicious - I love seafood. When I travelled along the East Coast - from Maine down into Mass. - one year I ate some sort of seafood every night. Was in heaven.

I was thinking, wouldn't your pic of The Lobster House make a wonderful cross stitch picture!

I am glad you enjoyed yourself. Life is made up of small moments and occasions that enrich our lives and keep us keeping on. So, belated Happy Anniversary, Happy DH birthday, and last but not least Happy Valentine's Day- and in closing "may there be many more!"

Thanks to all of you....it was very special!!

jmirz - when I posted the sketch of the Lobster House....I also thought what an awesome cross stitch it would make. Maybe I should make one for them and see if they have "a place of honor" for it!!

Grammie - I am so glad to hear you have been there. It is really impossible to explain the "nautical" atmosphere! I recently read somewhere that Cape May is the "oldest" vacation resort in the United States. It is a destination worth striving for!!

Pam - thank you so much. I also hope there will be many more trips!! I don't think I mentioned this but they have THE very best scallops we have ever tasted. They come in "fresh off the boat". We got that information from the head Chef who was wandering through the dining room late one night!! We had an anniversary dinner for another couple and when you do such things....they do not rush you out. After saying "Oh no...we couldn't eat one more thing"...we had coffee, talked for 45 minutes and then ordered desert!!.
