question on pattern
What is the finished size? What count is the cloth? Is this only cross stitch and not other kinds of needlepoint stitches? Is the floss included?

This is a cross stitch pattern and not a kit. You have to purchase all of the floss and fabric. The model is stitched on 28ct. white evenweave over 1 thread. The finished size is 15 5/8 inches x 15 5/8 inches. The stitch count is 440 stitches x 440 stitches. The floss is Vicky Clayton silk thread.

This has only full stitches and 2 colors. You can use DMC or Anchor floss. On 28-ct fabric "over-one" thread stitching would be very tricky as to tension & keeping the floss from slipping behind the fabric thread. suggest 18-ct Aida, 22-ct Hardanger, or 24-ct Congress. Divide 440 by these counts to get the diameters.

I have done quite a few patterns on 25 count fabric. I use a magnifying glass to see the pattern clearly. The floss slipping behind a stitch is very rare and easy to repair. I love the look of the finished embroidery. It looks like a tapestry and impresses everyone.
