It should give suggestions in the instructions. I have done plastic canvas ornaments, and have glued felt to the back to hide the stitches.

Love it! Where is the pattern/kit from?

I stitched this a few years ago and actually choose not to put a back on it. And I am sorry, I can't remember if the instructions had backing instructions with them. I have since gotten into putting felt on the back of my ornaments. Felt is very easy to work with and comes in a lot of different colors so you can pick out what you like.

Our last cross stitch shop closed the end of December and has now been sold and will reopen under the same name and same location. I have mixed feelings about this. I was looking forward to getting through some of my stash (dreams can come true) but was wondering where I would get some of my Kreiniks that I use a lot of.

You're welcome Judy! I work on ornaments when I need a break from my bigger projects. I have a tote full of stuff so I guess you can never have too many projects to do! And we won't mention my wish list. LOL
