What a week I’ve had.
Wednesday I took the dog “shopping”, because the parks were too wet, (and she like to play in the puddles) As we were headed back to the Jeep, we ran into some drama. Apparently a van backed into a car, while parallel parking, a witness saw it and confronted the driver, who said it didn’t happen...F bombs were flying, the air was getting a bit blue, so we high tailed it out of there. Thursday, went to PT, and a woman pulled out of a parking lot not quite in front of me, I had to hit the gas, and do a little swerve dance, but she missed me. On my way home, a woman went around the mail truck (she was behind it) and nearly hit me head on. I had to slam on my breaks, or she would have. I’m thinking I may have accidentally activated some kind of invisibility shield, I looked all over for a target 🎯 , but couldn’t find one.

As long as you are ok and not hurt. Defensive driving needed to protect oneself from the nuts behind the wheel..🚗

Jaj, here I thought it was just me.......was driving back to work from lunch Wednesday and the road I was on was 4 lane but due to construction/maintenance was reducing to one line my direction in a couple of blocks. A car came up pretty quickly in the right lane (one that was closing), got right beside me, turned on her signal and moved over. I think I hit the brake and the horn with about the same pressure. Driver of the other vehicle looked surprised someone was there!! Hello, you just pulled up along side of me, where did you think I went. And, yes, she had been or was on her cell phone at the time.

There are some states enacting cell phone laws that if a police officer sees you on a ‘hand’ cell phone talking, the officer can stop you and ticket you. A good idea....

Glad your reflexes and defensive driving skills are up to snuff. We live on a two way stop corner and people at least 50 percent of the time people don't stop. Sometimes, I go out and sit in the swing and just watch the cars and pickups do the dosey-do. (whatever that is) I've asked the police and offered where we park to just pull in there and they could give dozens of tickets. That's because people use our street because we are one street off of main. When we pull out we go about 5 miles an hour cause we don't know if the other driver's are going to stop. I don't even honk my horn anymore because this is Oklahoma and you don't know who has a gun or not. What I am afraid of is kids on bikes. They just bust through there instead of stopping and I am so afraid they will get hit. And yes I got rear ended on main when a woman was on her cell phone and hit me from behind. And I am not the kind of person who yells "whiplash". Stupid me!

I got rear ended right in front of my house! I was stopped, turn signal on, waiting for traffic so I could make a left turn into my driveway, BAM. Because I drive a Jeep Wrangler, the only damage was to the spare tire, and the bracket that holds it, oh yeah, and the wheel cover (it had bits of headlights in it) You should have seen the other guy...front end about four inches shorter than the original design.

You all better just stay home and stitch. Too many idiots out there.

I live in Ontario, Canada and we do have a law that prohibits use of a hand held cell phone while driving. Includes texting while driving. Hard to enforce though. But talking about idiot drivers, don't get me started about parking lots!
