Genius or late bloomer
Has everybody except me been doing this since the year dot or have I stumbled upon a good trick?
When fastening your thread on the back it’s easier if you insert it at an angle instead of straight on.
Do I get a pat on the back or a scornful laugh? 🤗

If you mean when you are ending with the thread, I usually goe in a straight line underneath what I just stitched.

That’s what I mean lady.

Confession, I just wiggle it through anyway I can.

Same here Jaj🙄. Mea culpa!

Me, too! However I can keep from disturbing the stitches in place... 😊 But I'm going to give it a try! 😊

I'm the same as Jaj and kevan - just wiggle it through any way it will go so I don't disturb any stitches.

I try to stay under the same color I just stitched. I'm sure I've gone diagonal, but never came to mind if it was easier. I'm going to pay attention now and to make me do that, you deserve a pat on the back.

Thanks Liz, I’ll consider myself patted!

Since there aren’t any ‘cross Stitch police” around here, I’ll
Confess that if I have some stitches with the same color floss more than 4 and less than 10 stitches away, I’ll
‘Travel’ my needle under the stitches to get to that area, whether I do it straight, diagonally. Only thing I avoid is doing it under lighter colored stitches with a darker floss on my needle.

That’s what I call common sense Burmuda.
