I am also a fan of Aida, but my favorite size to stitch on is 16. Sometimes, I do the math to see what size the finished design will be. Sometimes the one that wins is the size closest to a ready-made frame.

Aida is good for these every square designs. It's strong enough to handle all that floss. Color isn't as important, but a tiny bit of the cloth shows between stitches, so you might want an off white. Add some fabric to each side of whatever count you buy.

I agree with the last two comments. I would use an off white 16ct. Aida fabric to stich this beautiful pattern. Don't forget to add 3 inches on a side so you have enough fabric for framing.

What a beautiful piece. I, too, would use off white Aida. It is so easy to stitch on. What a novel idea to adjust the fabric size to ready made frames. I plan on doing some framing and this helps.
