I have ordered this pattern--have not yet recieved it yet but I don't see why you couldn't use 14 count, that is what I'm going to use

This is a kit that comes with 14 ct Aida

This is a kit that is based on 18ct. white Aida fabric that comes with the kit. Once you get the kit you can change to stitching it on 14ct. Aida, but you will have to get more floss since you will not have enough with the kit. Dimensions Inc. has their own brand of floss, but if you go to Cyberstitcher.com you can get a floss conversion chart to change the Dimensions Inc. floss numbers to DMC floss numbers and then use DMC floss to stitch it. It is a cute pattern, but I see it is out of stock at the present time.

Sorry Christine you are wrong the kit comes with 18ct. white Aida not 14ct. Aida.

Depending on the finished size that you want, you can use
pretty much any count for these projects.
