HEY SENIOR STITCHER...WHERE ARE YOU?
I think Sr. Stitcher got lost in her Glads! LOL! We haven't heard from her since she posted a pic of her 1st glad. She got Glad fever and wasn't able to come to the computer, she usually gives us step by step of where she is on her project, but nothing to date! Maybe we need to find her in case she has a severe case of Gladiola-monia! It could be fatal, the symptoms are: forgetting your friends, no interest in the chat room, can't remember why you are doing what you are doing, forlorn look, bags and dark circles under eyes, drooling!

WAKE UP, SENIOR STITCHER .... WE NEED A GLADIOLA FIX!!!!

j, you are too funny. I suggest we send the X-stitch cop (we all know who that is) after her if she hasn't responded by next week. Or we could take a trip to MN ourselves. I could use a little fall weather right about now. I've been wondering about her myself. Maybe she too is having computer problems. I hope it isn't the illness you mentioned. She has invested too much.

Hope Senior Stitcher is not sick too. I have a friend on my quilting chat room that lives in MN may-be I should send her to check on Senior Stitcher. LOL I miss her posts and stories about her Glads.

Me too Ladies. Maybe you can send your friend to check on her, Syagel. Maybe she's just having computer trouble or much needed vacation.

We are off tomorrow and Monday for Labor Day (our employers are very generous) and next Friday through Tuesday, I'm on vacation. Yahoo. Going to my mother's in Georgia. The Traveling Vietnam Memorial wall is coming to our home town and we are going to visit it as a family and honor my fallen father that was killed there. I will also have my great-nieces the entire time! I can't wait to see them.

Have a great holiday everyone, in case I don't come back on here till Tuesday. Will be working on my baby samplers through the long weekend.

Jclifford the traveling Vietnam Memorial was in my town here about 6 weeks ago. I went to see it and it was very moving. Three boys in my high school class are on the wall and I found their names. Our display also had a display of Agent Orange quilts which was very beautiful. If they have the quilt display with your display be sure to see it. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Syagel, I think that you should alert your friend in MN to check on Senior St. Maybe she is busy with her exercise group, the Silver Sneakers. She is so energetic.

Jclifford, have a safe trip and enjoy your visit. I saw the wall in DC, very, very moving. So very sorry about your Dad. I get chills and tears in my eyes just reading about it. Together my husband and I served 40 years in the Army and I love the military and my fellow vets. It's very emotional when I think of all the people that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Miss C, how could you have seen our pictures? Do my knowledge none of us have posted pictures of ourselves. Or are you referring to the website. jclifford told us how to log on, why don't you check it out.

I wish we all could see each other. Haven't been up for a bit...doctors, physical therapy (which is going good) and now need an MRI and a specialist. Yuck.
Saw The Wall when it was here. Our kids all cried for my husband's brother, killed in Nam. My husband can't talk about it. I found his brother's name on the Viet Nam California memorial in Sacramento and was transfixed at all the names and thinking about them.
I volunteered at the orthopedic wing of a hospital near Ft. Lewis, WA. You could barely see to the far end of that ward....it was so big. The guys were all under 20 for the most.part. I played pool and basketball with men younger than I was. They wete missing arms or legs. One guy used to beat me at pool and he only had one arm, no legs. He told me that I was the worst pool player in the world (and I was proud of it).
Going to do the old cross stitch of The Wall that has a rose in the foreground and you can place your own hero's name on The Wall in the cross stitch pattern. It is such a moving thing to see, The Wall...
