Need My Stitchy Friends!
Hi ladies! For the first time, I am going to ask for you to pray hard for me. I am scheduled for MRIs of my right shoulder that is just gone elsewhere, my brain and optic nerves due to the loss of vision and unequal pupils, etc. Then I get to have an ultrasound of my entire urinary system, from kidneys to the great outdoors part. And TODAY, I had a follow-up mammogram because I had tiny microcalcifications in my breastesses. They were there 1.5 years ago, so I have a mammogram every six months since. But...this time, the pattern is different and could be "The Big C". So, I still pray for anyone who asks or is hurting in any fashion, but now I am praying for me and my DH, too. I worry about him. He seems very stressed out to me...please pray for me...and DH Bill...tell me jokes, tell me bout your WIPs...any happiness...no feeling sorry for me/him, etc.

Wow! Prayers indeed! You will be completely examined when you get through all this, & probably have a deep freeze full of casseroles from the neighbors up there behind the redwoods. I often think old songs lyrics when stitching, but now I'll think Su Pitt.

Oh, off the subject, but poor Weed! So sudden, so sad.

Su Pitt you will definitely be in my prayers and your husband and family also. So many problems all at once no wonder your husband and you are stressed. Hang in there. I have faith in God and he will be with you all the way. Will check in when I get back from vacation, and hopefully you will have some good news.

Weed. Where my VW bug sucked a valve through a piston. Opened the engine cover. It was raining oil. Had about 300+ miles to go, so got a case of oil and stopped often to add oil. It was not a great trip, but now seeing Weed, all I think of is the fact that it is gone. Thinking of the song lyric: "Who by fire?"
Thanks for thining of Su while you stitch. I have 3-4 WIPs...you guys will finish them, huh??? LOL

I cut my finger and have a difficult time typing. This is my second attempt. Su Pitt I will be praying for you. Everything will be fine. God is looking out for you. Let us know the good news as soon as you find out. Stitchers are tough!

As for your WIPs - no we won't finish them because you will!

Su Pitt you're in my prayers. You have a lot going on. They say He doesn't give us more than we can handle. But boy it sure is hard sometimes when it feels like it is all crashing down on you. He will see you through it. Take care.

Step one done! After two mammograms in two days and a breast ultrasound, all clear. Back to stitching a pattern that DH picked out for our 40th wedding anniversary, which is in January. Decided.to do this old silhouette pattern because he liked it, but am using hand-dyed vaiegated threads. They are lovely purples to light aqua nd lavendar. Then I looked at it and realized that the variegation makes the groom's pants look like striped prisoner pants. I showed him and he sais it looks great! He is such a good guy, hanging out in xray for 2.5 hours and not disliking my stitching. LOL.

I am so happy for you, Su Pitt. You'll see the rest will work out for you too. Yes, that is very nice of your DH, however, it is his duty!!!!!! :)

Glad to hear the calcium deposit is just that. I have one with a metal marker next to it. I had really bad "Fibrous Breast Disorder" as did many of us. Good Hubby! Don't stitch rows with overdyes or varigated floss. You'll always get stripes. Use loop method for a tweedy look, or stitch in squares or some other pattern.

Will keep praying you do well, Su!

I knew somebody would know about variegated floss. All I was ever told was that it should be done one full stitch at a time! Now for tearing it all out...half-done...or just accepting that it won't look right. Which is okay because I have a celtic knot involving hearts that I would rather do. This silhouterte thing was DHs. It is a bit too formal for me, as we have done our vows four times.
We were wed at home, then in court, then in church. Then we renewed our vows in church with whole family on our twenty-fifth anniversary.
How do you get that tweedy look?
