I used 14 ct aida instead of the fabric noted for this pattern. I am making all 5 of the 'ladies' and want the background to be the same.

I find it difficult to sew on linen. altho this pattern (despite how it looks) is actually very easy to sew.

If you go to the Cross Stitch Fabric link here you will find the fabric that is listed here to use. The Dusty Green Linen is out of stock right now. Hope this helps.

I stitched her on 32 count Belfast linen because I love the way that fabric feels in my hand - wonderfully supple and not stiff. I would not go any smaller in stitch count if you are going to bead or the beads might be a problem. I also changed the gold thread - used a krenik gold thread which I found much easier to use....have fun stitching her - she is beautiful!

I have the pattern and supplies. I purchased 28 ct linen because 32 is too small. I would have preferred to use 32 ct but that's life. I am anxious to get started but have to resolve some issues in my life i.e., get caught up on a ton of "stuff", so I can devote myself wholeheartedly to this project. For some reason I anticipate that it will be a challenge. Hope that I'm wrong.

Texas Stitcher, it is not very challenging. I am half way through and enjoying it. I did the Summer one and it was a quite a challenge due to all the beads and braid. This one is way easier so far

Thanks, judithliberty. I've taken it out and put it back several times already. I know that I cannot finish it by Christmas and decided to postpone it until January. Less pressure. You've eased my mind considerably. I would love to do the other four. I have several Four Seasons patterns and haven't done one. Instead I play Vivaldi's Four Seasons. LOL

The color on this thumbnail is way off on the yellow side.

True. My fabric has a greenish hue. Very attractive.

I've stitched quite a few of these designs. They look really nice in 32 count linen.
