Materials included in the kit.
Please tell me what comes with the kit. Are all the thread needed included, also the pattern, and the cross stitch fabric.

Thanks,

Lilian Shannon

This kit contain 18c Aida fabric, plus cotton, mettalic threads and needle and instructions. The word kit it means it has everything to do the picture of the cross stitch that you have.

This kit is by Dimensions and is done in full and half cross stitches. The finished size is 7 x 5 inches and comes with all you need to finish the project. I have done several Dimension kits and they are the best I have found. I have always had enough floss to finish the pattern though some have not.

I guess it all depends how many mistakes you make! LOL I rarely have to take out more than 10 stitches but today I made a mess. I was so frustrated, I'm stitching over two and was off by one thread. I caught it before too much damage was done. Oh well, sometimes it just "be's" like that. That's why most of us love our DMC.

syagel, I have a question I've been meaning to ask - do some methods of stitching use more floss than others, i.e., Danish vs English?

Definitely TX Stitcher you are right with the mistakes. When you try and pick out Dimensions thread it frays and makes it not reusable. Like TX Stitcher and Syagel I have never came up short on thread from my Dimensions kits, but with all the people who are saying they have, I have retained my remainders preparing for the day I feel is inevitable. Many times I have even changed my fabric from 18 count to 16 count and still had enough thread, but now feel that I am gambling doing so. In the future, I may match DMC to the Dimensions thread to stitch the projects that I have enlarged the fabric count. I agree with Syagel that the Dimensions kits have such beautful design choices. This santa when you enlarge the stitched picture looks so realistic.
