Aida 14
Folks, I adore the cross stitch Heaven on Earth but was just wondering is the
aida 14ct. fairly large as I'm finding it a little hard if it is too small. Also the colours you have shown will there be sufficient there to complete the article and do I need all of them.
Sorry to trouble you.
Thanks
Liz Vercoe

36" x 51" is awfully large. HAED often suggests 25-ct over one thread, but that might be too small for you. How about 16-ct aida & cut several inches off each side?

I have "Reading By The Window" to stitch. I'm going to start in the middle & work outwards. The sides & bottom are dark paneling & a rug I can live without. I know this doesn't work for all designs & stitchers.

JLHewes...I think you are referring to the cut size of the Ada. The picture itself is only 28.6" x 21". Still a big chunk of stitching ! The supply list gives quantities needed of each color , 100 skeins in total : so you should be okay as long as you know your stitching style.

Sorry about the size error.

Looked again at Heaven on Earth. Not much cropping possible, even if you wanted to. A little on the left, maybe top, but probably not worth it.

The many shades give the design its detail & beauty.
