This is just a pattern in cross stitch. U have to buy the supplies which the pattern is asking for to make the design that you had chosen. Like the fabric, the needle, the floss and in few day if you pay for them they will be in your mail box.

Because the description says that you can used any color fabric Obviously, if you wanted to use orange or deep purple you would not want it showing thru. It appears that every single hole will be stitched.
That is a whole lot of stitches -- almost 50,000 of them.

Have a stitching good time.

Every sauare. All full crosses. An Antique white or beige fabric would be good.

I advice you to choose something small and not hard to do. I can tell that you are just a beginner.

Miss "C" what makes you think that she is a beginner? She is just asking a question about the stitching. Yes the entire project fabric is stitched. Using 18ct. Aida fabric the finished size would be 14 x 10 1/2 inches. Don't forget to add 3 inches per side when determining what size fabric to purchase. It is a beautiful pattern and only uses full cross stitches. Enjoy your stitching and good luck.

She also may be thinking about some of the kits that come with the background stamped in color on the fabric.

Do I have to wait for the pattern to arrive to get a list of the floss to purchase or can I find a list somewhere on this site, but I'm just failing to see it?

I did not see a list of floss or fabric under the picture. You should contact Kristi at the website here and request a list of floss that you can buy the same time as you buy the pattern. Everything CrossStitch "customer service" dept. is absolutely the best when it comes to assisting stitchers with questions and concerns. Go to ECS home page and in the LOWER RIGHT CORNER you should see the Customer Service area or just look above and "Customer Service" is listed next to "Shopping Cart".
