AOL ISSUES???
Has anyone had recent issues using AOL? I keep getting error messages that I have a corrupt file. My husband keeps reinstalling it -- at least once a day. He really knows what he is doing so he is not the problem. He says that it is something that I am doing that is setting it off. Maybe it is some site that I am accessing that is incompatible. This is the site I use most often -- accessing it whenever I get a notice from the chit chat. Anyone else experiencing it? I have temporarily stopped using the email link and opening from Internet Explorer.

Nancye...Interesting...Several months ago we started getting these messages and we don't use AOL. I went to my 50th class reunion. I have a classmate in Tennessee who uses AOL. She would forward videos and such for me to see. We couldn't figure out what was going on. I never related the problem to the e-mails I was getting from her. Our neighbor across the street is a Chemical Engineer and a computer whiz. He told us he had the same problem last fall. He was in the army and has friends everywhere. He was getting these "corrupt file" notices. Through process of elimination, he realized the error came after he got an e-mail from an old army buddy who was the only one using AOL. He cautioned us to be careful opening e-mails and especially attachments.

Conspiracy theory folk, is it (drum roll please) Big Brother? Some sort of international bug? Virus?

No kidding, your computer is only as clean as your last opened email....they find hundreds of new viruses every few minutes and your computer is vulnerable if you aren't vigilant....not to mention just a touch paranoid. :)

I'M CALLING THE CYPER SPACE COPS

I am not a computer whiz by any stretch, but I recently spoke to someone who services computers and his recent advice was to make sure your clearing the cookies from your computer regularly to avoid carrying around many of these problems. This may help some for the future. I hope you're able to get rid of your problem.

No, but I have HP problems. It keeps telling to install which I do but it doesn't seem to "take". Computers and bureaucrats are the bane of my existence. I'd also like to add technology.

VCESS, Morad sends his regards. I finally made it over there yesterday after 2 cancellations due to bad weather. I was afraid that he might drop me! LOL

Miz Kathy and her team are back from the shopping trip for new patterns. She keeps sending me the same email over and over. Some trunk show I think.

We're in for more freezing rain and icy roads. I am so behind on appointments.

Texas Stitcher, I know what you mean.g We're iced in again today! Supposed to be gone tomorrow but, holy cow! Missed Dr. appointments, re-scheduling nightmares....I know we haven't had the onslaught of the North, but my little southern tuckus has had enough.

That's very thoughtful of Morad. I'm planning a trip in a couple of weeks and look forward to seeing him again. :) It was really a blessing when you gave me his name, I was getting psychotic about HAIR! Thank you, thank you, thank you! (Don't be afraid, I'm not always like this.)

My daughter made fun of me for ignoring the local butchers and not looking harder for someone local...til she saw the difference. Yes, she was sure dementia had kicked in. HA!

Don't know if we'll make it by to Mz. Kathy, but it's on "the list". :)

I just hope the snow and ice is gone....here and there! :) AND the flu...What a winter!

VCESS, Kathy is having a "Market Day" event this Saturday from 10 until 4. Whatever that is. Maybe I'll go if the weather is nice.

Yes, the weather has been and continues to be a mess. Snow is one thing but all this freezing rain!!!! I went to Costco today. I haven't shopped for groceries in almost 3 weeks. That was a good thing. I was able to use up some old stock and save a ton of money. I have to get two or three things framed - so that was a good thing. LOL

Morad briefly mentioned that he enjoyed meeting you. He is so discreet and polite. I appreciate that. Some of the topics that are being discussed by other clients are definitely TMI. Morad doesn't comment but is clearly uncomfortable. If Burt ever closes, I'll have to follow Morad.

Let's hope that things improve and we can freely roam our great state again. I need to pay a visit to one of the Central Markets, either in Southlake or Ft. Worth. I pray for an HEB. Burleson and Waxahatchie is a little far.

Texas Stitcher, I hate I'm going to miss her event...hope you are able to "attend and report". :) I was only there a few minutes--it was close to closing time and, though they all acted "settled in", I didn't know the people or what was going on, so I scouted the shop briefly, said hello, noted and complimented their work, made my purchase, and scooted. Didn't have time to make myself at home...when I worked retail, I always dreaded thoughtless people who walked in late in the day and "squatted" and held my poor achy feet hostage. They were pleasant and friendly and I made a note to return when time wasn't an issue to them or me.

You are right about Morad being discreet. I'm always nervy with new acquaintances, but he put me at ease immediately...a lovely man. I think I told you about meeting Burt...THAT was an unexpected giggle! Burt reminded me of FIL, a retired AF LT COL from Tennessee....old school charm, wonderful accent, very easy with women.

The weather is awful, but usually of short duration....CO was difficult but I certainly learned to drive on ice and snow...but there are always idiots that think 4-wheel-drive means run over the fools in front of me.

Think I'll pour more coffee and check out Kathy's website for info...Have fun!
