included in pattern
I am new to cross stitch and really love this pattern! Lots of questions! First this is just the pattern correct? I still have to purchase the fabric? Is this 14ct? How do you know what fabric to buy? I can purchaee the thread any where, correct? Is there any advantage to purchasing it at the same time?

First of all, if you are very new to cross stitch I would not do this pattern yet. Pick something with simple shapes and only a few colors. This pattern looks like it might use some specialty threads and has embellishments that are sewn on after you are thru sewing.

Most patterns will give you suggestions on fabrics to use. Try starting with a light colored 14 count aida. That seems to be the most popular and easiest for beginners.

You are free to use any type of floss you choose -- DMC is the most popular.

This site has a wide range of supplies to choose from.

Yes, this is just the pattern by Praiseworthy Stitches. There is a series of these. The fabric is by Picture This Plus, it is called "Murky". This is on 32 count over two threads using Weeks Dye Works threads, Gentle Art Sampler threads, DMC metallic and Mill Hill beads in two colors. There is also a button pack available. I believe Picture This Plus hand dyes Aida and Evenweaves as well if you are not sure about stitching on linen.

Not a super difficult project, but not an inexpensive one either.

Hello,

The ladies who posted before me did an excellent job in answering your question :) I just wanted to let you know that I have posted the supplies for this pattern on the website. You should see everything you need for the pattern listed right underneath it. So, if you choose, you can purchase the pattern and floss all at the same time. The fabric is usually listed to the right of the floss list but since this pattern calls for a fabric that we do not sell, there won't be a fabric listed there. You can choose to use the fabric that the pattern suggests which is a 32ct. Murky Belfast Linen by Picture This Plus or you can use something different that is totally of your choosing :) I hope this information helps!
