I really want to do this, BUT I keep hearing such bad things about Thea's kits and I don't much like the price ($79.00) .Is there anyway to get just the chart?

You have got to be kidding. There was way too much negative chatting about her products. Company is not at all company oriented. She has a couple of books out. Check your local library or bookstore and see if you can find something else you like

Maybe we should send it to her

And have her find out she may have to pay some big bucks to buy extra thread....

As for me, I need to use my money more wisely than paying those type of "kit" prices...

Probably cost her $9.00 in materials, plus her designing work, of course. She could sell a leaflet for around $12.00. This lady is one smart Dutch woman.

I wanted just the chart too but was told it was only sold with the kit. I wanted to do four pictures on Aida Cloth so the linen that came with the kit was useless to me. And since I was making four much larger pictures, the floss in the kit was useless too because I needed so much more. The chart stated that the floss was DMC but didn't list the numbers of the colors. I contacted the place where I purchased the kit and was told that I had to contact Thea, which I did. I was told that I couldn't get the numbers so I spent hours and hours at Ben Franklin, matching the floss in the kit to the DMC floss in the store and buying it there. The picture you chose is lovely but how much of a hassle are you willing to put up with?
Good luck to you.

I think Thea is a brilliant artist. Her kit would be worth the money considering how long you would keep the picture and if you would consider passing it as an heirloom. I probably wouldn't buy it for myself because I am afraid I wouldn't finish it...Then it really would be a waste of money.

Sorry but I would never purchase her kits because they are so OVERPRICED and if you cannot even get customer service when you need it and you're paying that much, more of a reason. I think that when someone prices their product way above the competition, they do lose customer interest or at least some customers will always find a comparable product for much less.
