Print qualitie
I'm not sure what to due? Return or tuff it out. Because this is what my daughter wanted me to do, she picked it for herself. But when I ordered it I thought it was a counted cross stitch kit, when I finally got it (almost 2 weeks later, I opened it and it was a printed picture of a fairy that I stitch over. And it is mostly half stitches, rev. half stitch but very little actual cross stitching. You start kinda where ever. that confused me from how I learned how to cross stitch. ("always find the center & go from there") not to mention the chart I have looks like a bad copy due to it's faded at parts and I cant tell if there is a symbol or not, there isn't a square at all. My daughter really wants this for her room but...IDK! I paid $23 plus dollars for it, is more of a pain to ask for a new copy of the chart, press on & hope for the best, or return it all together? It never said it was a print that I stitch on, but it is, and I was the "savana sunrise", but not to find out it too is a print because now I'm leary. and that would be $54 something on a project I didnt want! I e-mailed costomer service before & never heard back, so I doubt I'll hear from them now. Has this ever happened to anyone else before or am I a fluke? Because this is the first time I've ordered from here and so far I'm not happy!

(does that look clear to you?)

Gina...I know that if you call ECS customer service they will help you! They are very good with customer service. What is the name of the pattern..? Does it indicate anywhere on the packaging whether this a kit or pattern only?

Hello Gina,

I am sorry for the troubles you are having with this kit. This is a stamped kit manufactured by Candamar and I am not sure why the description doesn't state that on the website? I will look into that and get it fixed, so thank you for letting us know about that error. As far as a replacement pattern, we do not have any replacement items for kits since we do not manufacture them but I know that the manufacturers will send out replacement items for their products once they are contacted. You are more than welcome to send this item back to us if you are not satisfied with it and we can give you a refund for your order. Just give us a call at 800-800-8517 and we can get the return process started for you.

And, I apologize for the issue you had previously with emailing us. I know the folks who answer our emails are usually quick to respond so I am unsure as to what happened with you not getting a response from them? Again, I do apologize for all of the troubles and I hope we can get this fixed for you. Thank you :)

I understand how unhappy you must be in your purchase, especially since this is your first purchase from ECS. This kit sounds very strange. I am sure that customer service at ECS will do anything possible to rectify the situation. People using this site sing their praises.

LOOKING at a fairy by that name, I see the following: The Description says the cloth is printed in full color like a painting, & you can stitch as much or little as you like. Manufacturer says MCG not Candamar. "Out of stock"

People have asked for pieces printed on the cloth, to stitch embellishments. I didn't know anybody still made them. KHRISTIE, maybe theseshould be in "Stitchable Items"

PS: Don't trust MCG!

Gina, These grids are very poor quality. Not clear at all. I have had two bad experiences with MCG Textiles, so I won't go back on my soap box. I will not buying their products in the future. Now, having said that...I would like to say for all the purchases I have made through Everything Cross Stitch, these folks are a whole different "breed"! They will bend over backwards to make sure you are content with your purchase. Good luck with this outcome...

Gina,
Hopefully by now you have read the "chat" note by Kristi from Everything Cross Stitch and have been able to get their assistance.
This really sounds like a problem caused by MCG who creates and puts together the kits.
Rest assured that there are many counted cross stitchers, including myself, that can testify that Everything Cross Stitch customer service is a TOP WEBSITE for their CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE and really bend over backwards to help us stitchers with any problems, questions and concerns that we have.

Hello,

I fixed the description on the website for this pattern so it should read that the fabric is pre-printed now. I don't make the decision of what categories our products go into on the website so I will have to talk to Jennifer about that and she is currently out of the office until Thursday. We will get it fixed though and hopefully get Gina's issue situated as well :) The kit is designed by Candamar Designs, which I think is owned by MCG Textiles?

Thank you everyone!

I am pleased to hear everyone praise this website, it actually caught my eye by how beautiful it looks. I want to keep the kit, but I am going to try to get MCG to send another copy of the chart. Wish me luck! And thank you for all your responses. I'm glad everyone is so pleased with ECS. I'm a new one to this site so to hear such good things makes me happy I came here! And I have no idea what I did to get my poorly copied chart on here, but I'm glad you can see what i meant by a bad copy! Thanks again!
