How to attach pettite buttons to a cross stitch project
I have cross stitched for years, but this is the first time I am attaching petite buttons (which I purchased from Everything Cross Stitch, and they are perfect) on a project that I got the pattern from Jeremiah Junction. I received the buttons and they have a little hole but no cross bar so that you stitch the button onto the project. Can someone please tell me how to attach to the project? Thank you.

Sometimes you can add a bead - bring the thread up through the hole on the button, add the bead and then go back down through the hole. The bead has to be bigger than the hole.

Just in time. I have to attach little vegetables, etc to my project. I just noticed that the holes are tiny and I will have to use a beading needle. Wonder what thread/floss I should use. They are never explicit enough in their instructions. Ugh.

I have never done beading on cross stitch but I would think using one strand of floss with a beading needle should work. If not these ladies will correct me.

One strand of floss works because when you are done, there is actually two through the hole. You can tie the two pieces together on the back side. Use floss color that matches the button and bead color.
