shark pattern
Hi ladies,
My husband is a scuba diver and dives with the sharks. He has asked me for several years to stitch him a picture of a "realistic" shark but I can't find a decent pattern. All I can find are cartoonish patterns. I don't want a kit - just a nice pattern. Have any of you seen anything like I am looking for in your wanders through other websites?
I am about ready to go to page 2 on "laying in wait" and can definitely see the branches in the background. I hope sometime in the next 2 to 3 weeks to be able to start some of the wolf himself. It is a real challenge with a zillion thread changes but sure am glad I listened to all of you and stuck with it. Thanks for being there.

Hi there.

Here is a list for you to go on. Google the word sharks or shark you even get free ones.

2) Google again then write this sentence ( Pinterest/shark in cross stitch)

3) Etsy.com

Good luck.

Try Reef Diver & Great White here at ECS. You're right! Designing wales & dolphins is much more popular.

Ebay has 3 realistic looking schools, one of Hammerheads. Search: Sharks cross stitch. From UK, which is ok. They'll figure ghe exchange and ship it small parcel, which is reasonable rate & speed.

Thank you ladies for your wonderful input. I did order the one on ECS called "Great White" as it is just what I am looking for. When I finish "Lying in Wait" I will do this one. The blues in the water will probably drive me batty. Have a great day. We are having a real heavy snow storm here in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Guess the lion won over the lamb.

Cheryl,
Your husband dives with sharks?? And I thought boating in the Delaware Bay was dangerous! There can't be many boring moments at your house!!

Congratulations on finding a nice picture. I looked at the Great White this morning. Best of luck finishing Lying in Wait. I am sure when you get to the wolf himself...your enthusiasm will increase!!

GREAT WHITE looks terrific. Looks scary to me. Bet you don't get many sharks in northwest Pennsylvania. Should be easier than the Lying in Wait. More brighter colors to work with. Of course, the shading is so close it probably doesn't matter.

Oh my goodness. You have a brave husband. That is amazing! Beautiful!

If you do this one upside down you will see the pattern showing up much sooner.

There's a freebie site I go to and she has different categories of patterns. I have never stitched any of the patterns yet, so I don't know how they turn out but this is the link to the sea habitants category. You can copy and paste in your browser to take a look. http://www.cross-stitch-pattern.net/Free-Sea-Habitants-Charts.aspx

Happy stitching and hope you find what you're looking for.
