extend the ears and it could be a basset.

I was hoping it is a Daschund, but thought it might be a basset hound. Needed opinions of others. Thanks.

June Bug, if you are a dachshund lover, let me recommend the patterns from PinoyStitch. They have several patterns. Also found Plum Street Samples - Winter Weinerland. I bought them all since I am a weiner dog lover and owner for 40 years now.

Bones,
I have the Plum Street Sampler you mentioned and one called Halloweenies by them. I have a couple of Pinoy Stitch patterns and will be getting more this week.
Why are you called Bones? Are you in the medical profession? I am a nurse.

Looks like a dachshund to me. Short in the leg, long in the body, ears not dragging on the ground

I call them hot dog.

Yes! Hot dog, just another name for a weiner...

Dachshund means badger hound in German. Like Scottish Terriers and West Highland White Terriers, they were known to be fierce in Field Trials, where they were expected to "go to ground", into tunnels and pull out angry badgers.
Now in Field Trials, they go in the tunnel and seek out a caged rat and have to scratch at the cage to qualify in a timed trial. The tunnels have twists and turns and dead ends.
Tough little dogs.
