Stamped prequilted bib kit.
Just completed 2 quilted stamped bibs (kit). I was ready to just wash the bibs and leave them blank. There has to be a secret to doing prequilted stamped bibs, but I don't know what it is. The best I can say is they are finished, and primative looking. The back looks great- no stitches showing. however, because the "stamped ink" faded as I touched/stitched it, I couldn't see the pattern. So, they are "different" and primative.

The nice thing is, my son and DIL (DIL has her undergrad in art) will appreciate the bibs and the time. When I asked them months ago about bibs they said they would use them. My son even said 'of course we will use them for the baby, why do you think Henry (slobber dog) wears 'em? It's just easier to clean up. I just think my kids are as great as sliced bread.

XSTITCHER -- I have a vision in my head of a large mastiff roaming around the house with a cross-stitch quilted bib around it's neck. Quite a comical vision. Sounds like you have a wonderful family.

Actually, the dog wears the big bandanas, slobber is the issue. And yes, it is a hoot!
