I will not be doing this on linen. Probably Aida 14. What size will it turn out to be?

This pattern take 8.14 x 12 inches for 28 count linen and just do not forget to add 4 inches for the border
for framing. Good luck

So does that mean if I use 14 count it will turn out twice as big or were you going over two threads to make it a 14 from the linen?

According to the designer the Crossed Blue Collection the stitch count is 288 x 337 stitches. If you are using 14ct. Aida the finished size is 20.5 x 24 inches. Don't forget to add 3 inches per side when purchasing your 14 ct. Aida fabric.

Miss Crossstitch you are way off in your finished size! Don't know where you got those numbers!

If you use 28ct. Linen you stitch it over 2 threads. if you use 14 ct. Aida you stitch over 1 thread and it will be the same size.

Miss C has the size all wrong don't know where she came up with her figures.

Thank you so much. That will make a very nice large picture for over my spa tub. I appreciate your responses. Maybe Miss C was going over 1 on the linen?

Fourteen count over one will be the same size as 28 count over two.

Very pretty piece.

Don't forget to invite us over to your spa for the unveiling.

I would add 3" each side. So it would be 15 X 20 (if I've remembered the post right) of fabric. You need this, especially if you want an mat around it. Don't do much smaller, or you'll have trouble! One of my early pieces had to be "creatively" mounted because I was too cheap back then. I've learned my lesson!!!!

p.s. 14 Aida is about the same as 28-ct. linen... depends on what you're using, though.... some linen is uneven. Some is great. Some other even-weaves are really great, too. But if you're only comfortable with Aida, then go for it.

I so appreciate all of the responses. Especially the extra 3-4 inches added for mounting.
I definitely will choose a colored aida cloth. No way am I stitching the whole background.
But not seeing the pattern in color for real I will have to wait to select a back ground color
after the pattern arrives. Thanks again.

Nancy G. Come on over. LOL
