Woohoo!!
Just ordered this chart and material!!! Can't wait to start it!! The Lavender Rose is getting tedious and I need something else to work on! This is for my 16 year old daughter!

Anyone ever stitch a Fractal? Any tips?

TIA,
Marlene

BEAUTIFUL -- you are one ambitious stitcher

Which fabric did you decide on? Last I heard you weren't sure...

I would grid it....definitely....but that's a personal choice.

Pick your favorite color and dive in!!!! Decisions, decisions.... :)

Don't worry about the back...they all look awful! :)

Oh....try not to follow the 10x10 on the pattern, or work a "flat edge", like the page....tape the pages together....I am working all four sides, till I have blended all four sides....then whatever my common sense tells me....if I still have any! :)

Love it, smile at it, dream of it! :) Mine is better than a cruise! Hahahaha

Bermuda yes it has like 82 different colors!

NanceyG I like a challenge!

Vcess thanks for the tips! I don't kn what you mean by "flat edge" I'll just have to wai till it gets here then figure out where to start etc!

Beautiful pattern. Now that is a real challenge!! I know you will do a great job. I have never been brave enough to try a fractal. Let me know how it goes. Good luck.

I meant the edge of the whole page.....

Speaking of gridding, Scarlet Quince's newsletter is discussing gridding with a Dritz marking set. Wow! Think it might solve a lot of problems folks have with gridding!

Marlene, are you doing this fractal, plus contemplating 10 of the jewel queens? You live too far away to visit when you get locked up by the men in white jackets. Please finish the purple rose & give this some thought.

I wonder if she is going to do some vertical stitching to help stitch some of the colors....
I mean, where do you start??????

I don't quite get the vertical stitching. Can't you just turn the pattern sideways That way instead of working top to bottom you would be working right to left. Am I making myself clear? My brain is telling me that I could never, ever do this piece

I'm just happy that I can see the pattern!!! Love the colors!
VCESS, watch out with those "new" eyes of yours looking at all those colors on that pattern! It will probably be absolutely psychedelic for you now!!!
LPN: I wonder if it's a "limited edition" because the people printing out this chart start seeing this pattern visually AFTER they've left work for the day!
