details pleasee
Hello,

I am going to be making this for my boyfriend who will soon be a fireman.I was wondering how many blocks it comes with or is it a count one? If it's count then I need to order the fabric. I have never done a counted one but his mom and grandma could help me since they have. I just need a few details before I order it.

Thank you,
Emily

This is counted cross stitch. It will be a big size, which is listed with the item. Be sure to order all the floss you need, listed under the supplies tab on that same page and, if you need the fabric recommended, don't click on the tiny "no fabric" button on that same supplies tab. After you send the pattern and the floss to your cart, the site will automatically take you to the fabric. Be sure you add at least six inches to each measurement of heighth and width (that would be 3 inches all the way around, for framing). It helps a framer get the fabric to align nice and straight.

I think this is an awesome project for a person new to counted cross stitch. I know he will treasure it for a lifetime! If you have problems or questions, just come back.onto this chat board, as we love to help others!

Uff Da!!!! I'm experienced, but wouldn't have thought of doing this as a learner project! But power to you girl for considering it! Yes...just call on us for help. Would rather be sitting next to you and see the progress week to week. That's the advantage of a sewing group....plus the human contact!

And Su Pitt....what in blue blazes are you doing up at 3 in the blessed am? The neighbor's new oil/gas well woke me up then, but I'd rather not see anything 'til 7am! (p.s. I'm in Mountain time.)

Like has already been mentioned this is not a learner's project, but if your mom and grandma can help that is good. Please feel free to come here and ask us any questions you might have as you do the project. I have several Cody Country Patterns. They are several pages long so don't be too surprised. Also be sure to make at least 1 copy of the pattern to mark on as you work it so your original stays clean. I always make 2 copies of large projects. One is to mark on and the other I tape together and hang on my design wall to refer to if I need to. Hope this helps. it is so pretty. Good Luck.
