Are there cross stitch cruises? Has anyone gone on such a thing?

Never heard of a cruise. I know that there have been lots of week-end getaways. Sounds like a tremendous amount of work.

Oh, yes!! Right now I can't name any, but they do exist. I'll have to go back through old e-mails and postings. But YESSSSSSSS!!!! Many designers even host these, so if you've got a favourite designer, look on their web-site. Retreats are all over the place. Most stores, and even Nordic Needle, host retreats. Just keep searching!!!

I can't leave my husband for more than a few hours now, so any of this I dreamed of 2 years ago is out the window. But power to all of you who can!!! (and most of my friends do!!!!)

I agree, I have seen them advertised before. Sounds like they would be a lot of fun.......Just sitting on deck all day long with nothing to do but cross stitch, eat, cross stitch. You get the idea!!

Stoney Creek had offered one a few years ago to Alaska. I'm not sure if they're still doing so. I believe Stoney Creek is in Michigan.

The Needle and I shop in Everett, WA has done them with quilters in the past.

Maybe I'll get to go on one after I retire in three years. I've always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise.
