floss question
Hello stitchers, I have a question regarding weeks dye works, hand over dyed thread. Do I do one cross stitch at a time or do a row as usual?

When using Weeks Dye Works or Gentle Arts Sampler Threads, I complete each cross stitch individually...that way the bottom cross is covered with the same color when putting in the top cross. For instance, if the thread is a variegated red, white, blue you would want the red covering the red, white covering the white, etc.

You do one at a time if it is variegated, e V ennis it is V one color variegated, for the same reason. Also because you don'to get an odd look frommit. But, WDW has flosses that are not variegated. You can stitch those just as you would stitch any solid colored floss...
I am a big fan of their floss because it truly is colorfast and requires no pre-washing, rinsing, etc. Saves a day of prep time!
