Yes this is a stamped pattern on the fabric. You have to purchase the floss to use to stitch it separately. The floss you need is listed on the same page as the pattern to be ordered. Enjoy your project.

I am a little confused. The description says that it is a kit. It says stamped, so that means no counting. Apparently it is not really a kit because you have to purchase the floss separately. Make sure that you have needles and a hoop.

Confusing, yes. But I've noticed Jack Dempseys usually come with stamped fabric only. Look at all thr bedspread blocks.

I can see how this is confusing but since it's a "packaged" item, we put it in the stamped kit category. The Description tab should tell you what all is included and other detailed information about the product. Thank you :)
