repairing tear
I have mended a couple of pieces-in-progress with iron-on pellon---including a MAJOR cigarette burn by a visitor.

I have used this technique also to mend a couple of small tears over the years. I found that it worked the best. We all find the ways that work for us. That is what is so nice about cross stitching there are no "stitching police" watching what we do.

Cigarette burn?! How rude!

Stuff happens, jl! My daughter cut into a table topper many, many years ago that I had just finished stitching. She was in the process of wrapping a gift for me. LOL It was on the fabric part and I repaired it. Of course there was no disguising it. LOL

xstitcher......Texas Stitcher made that entry on 5/21...which was last Thursday before all of this "havoc" began. I'm hoping we hear from her soon....she and her family are sure in my thoughts and prayers.

jerseycrafter, I am hoping, because Texas Stitcher made this entry (although it was last week) this chat will kick out to her email and she can respond without having to make a special effort to go to the site. I am hoping she sees this in her email because she is attached to this specific chat.
