patterns
Hi everyone!!
This is my first time ordering fro Everything Cross Stitch, and I have a few questions. Is there a printed pattern for the fractals? When you order a pattern with no floss colors showing, do you get a list of needed colors with the pattern?
Have any of you working on a fractured fractal on made one in the past, and how difficult are they?

Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm really excited to start a new project.

Wow! The description is amazing. 120 colors.
Shortly, you will hear from Kristi. She will be able to put up all the necessary colors you will need on the catalog page. Kristi is really good about reading through the chit chat board and answering all the questions about the patterns and kits. Great customer service here. I think you will be pleased with all the help you can get here. I know I have learned so much!

This is a involved pattern. Keep us posted on your project. Happy stitching!

Welcome to ECS, flutterbye!

I will try my best to answer your questions :) The patterns that you order are printed and then mailed out to you. All of our patterns will have a color key and a set of instructions with them so even if our website doesn't show the list of colors under the picture of the pattern, you will always get a color key and instructions with the ordered design.

Adding the supply lists to the patterns is something that I am working for the website and with the amount of patterns we have, this task is taking me quite some time to get finished, lol! But if there's a pattern that you would like to see the supply list for before you decide to purchase it, just contact us either by email or on this message board and I will do my best to get the details posted as soon as possible :)

I have not personally stitched any of the fractual designs because I am not ready to take on that task yet! I stick to the really small designs with just a few colors. But I do know of people who have stitched these beautiful designs and they have turned out awesome! Very time consuming but worth it :)

This message board is so helpful for any type of cross stitcher so welcome to our community! The other "chatters" on here are so very helpful and knowledgeable so you're in good hands here :)

I have never done a fractals pattern, but this one has caught my eye. Will put it in my wish list today with my other ones. Let me know how it goes.

For those of you who have done a fractal are there any special things I should know about it? Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi fluterby and welcome!!

OOOOHHHHH!!!!! PPPPRRRREEEEEETTTTTTY!!!!! I want to stitch this one too!! Such bright colors!!
Wish I had seen this before I started prepping for the fractal I have!! I think Ruth, my daughter would like this one better!!

I have not stitched a fractal yet, but am getting prepped to start one H U G E one!! Might I suggest that if you decide on this one, you pre-grid your fabric first!? It is time consuming - which is why I haven't started stitching it yet - but, I truely think this will help in the stitching of this!

Keep us posted!!

MARLENE -- this is one of the prettiest factuals I've seen. Don't remember which one you had purchased. Is the size close to that? Could you switch over. I know you have a stash. You could put one aside for another day -- or month -- or year!! LOL

Love the color intensity of the fractals.

My suggestions: use a higher count 16 or 18 to keep that color saturation, and grid it....the shading using all of those 120 colors is staggering.....but so worth it!

This particular one is relatively small, but impressive amount of color! I think I just talked myself into this one! :)

Hey guys....I just want you all to know that I think maybe you may be a bad influence on me!!!! Most of you know my usual thing is Victorian angels....and Santas. When I saw this, I immediately knew I have to have this to make for my 18 year old grand daughter. She would absolutely love this. She is a very special person. She started in a local dance class when she was four years old. She continued through high school. Tap, jazz, ballet. You name it. During her high school years she began assisting the teacher. She loved teaching the smaller children. Well, she will be a sophomore in college this coming fall. She wants to be a Special Education teacher and work with Autistic children. I think I will try to make this for her birthday, not this year, but next July. Thanks for posting this wonderful picture. It is soooooo different and I would say "uplifting".
