This doesn't use Aida fabric. It uses a 28-count fabric, like Lugana or a linen like Cashel. DMC has marbled Aida, but not as many colors as they used to. Go to www.dmc-usa.com to look at it. There are lots of sites for fabric, but stores like Michaels are woefully thin on this stuff now, and some of the new brands aren't worth the paper their labels are printed on.

There is no reason that you cannot use Aida for this project if you want to. You would need the same amount of fabric as if you were to stitch it on 28 ct over 2. That means you need a piece of fabric that is 23 x 26 inches. That includes the wiggle room for framing or finishing. You can buy all your supplies on this site. Ask Kristi to post the supply list for you. Or you could buy the pattern and purchase the supplies elsewhere.

This is probably a hand-dyed fabric from Crossed Wing itself. They've gotten into their own dying a lot.

Try Picture This Plus for hand-dyed Aida with this look. Be aware Aida dyes lighter than the swatch they show. Choose 14-ct Aida to equal 28-ct linen.

I have added the supplies and pattern information for this design to the website. The designer of this pattern suggests using a 28ct. Hand Dyed Linen and for this project, I chose Cornflower blue because we carry that specific fabric. The designer states that the fabric can be the stitchers choosing so please feel free to switch out the fabric if you wish. I hope this information helps. Thank you :)

I bought this pattern several years ago. It's in my to-do pile. I have bluebirds in my houses in my backyard.

I bought the cloud blue dyed material from Herrshners. You can get it in Aida or evenweave. Check it out online at their sight if you don't get their catalogue. I bought both materials but will probably do it in Aida 14 count. Evenweave scares me.
