jlhewes -- what a wonderful offer.
My husband and I will "celebrate" Number 45 in five weeks. Sometimes I wonder how we made it.

Maureen...
Not kidding. If it is a question about nutrition and you don't know the answer, always choose "dark green leafy vegetable". Been a nurse and nurse practitioner for 30 years and a physician assistant for 40 years. Paid $$$ with some classmates to go to a review class that was worth every penny. Back then, IV pumps were just new on the market, so there was a lot of stuff about calculating drip rate.
Will never forget all the foreign educated nurses at the test. Nor all the people getting sick in the monitored rest room...
You will do fine! Just remember to breathe well. Use the rest room for a break, even if you don't have to go, as it rests your eyes (they might think you're cheating if you look around the room during testing).
Only one of our classmates didn't pass, but she had other life problems, returned to test later and passed no problem.
Oh...and the one persin that the entire class thought would not pass did. She was an odd duck with some strange ideas and misinterpretations of lessons. We all wonder where she is nursing...lol

Thank you Ladies for all the encouragement! I truly DO appreciate it!! Su, WOW I am impressed!! I've recently decided to go back for my RN, then my BSN! Should only take a couple of years, once I get my LPN license renewed! Wow!! 70 years!! ARNP has always been my goal, but I'm already 55! Not sure if going that far is doable at my age! Let's see....LPN to RN, one year + another year for BSN, then another what 2 yrs for masters? then I dont even know how long for NP! So, thats what another 4-6 yrs? I'd be in my 60's!!

This is a refresher course; thought I'd retired for good, but apparently God has other plans! So, I had let my LPN license expire. I will not EVER let it expire again!! This is the SECOND refresher course for me! I quit work for a few years to raise my babies!

Anyway, my problem has been the first two modules - of four chapters each - was the history of nursing, when it came to the USA, insurances what its for etc. B O R I N G!!!!! The text is also "treating" me like a BRAND NEW student NEVER in the field! I've been a nurse since '89!!

I am FINALLY into actual nursing A & P unit 4, and its FIFTEEN chapters long!! the word & acronym list is TWENTY SIX pages!!!!

The final is only 200 questions, should be a piece of cake!

Thanks again for all the support!!

Hmmmmm......also a LPN here, of 15 years, and taking a break for awhile. Worked too many rehab/nursing homes last years and now burnt out a bit. Going to concentrate on raising my 10 year old Autistic son, and work retail for a while for a change. Was thinking of letting my license expire......but maybe not now after hearing this......lol!
Good luck, and God Bless!

Good luck with your testing! You'll do great!!
I'm also an RN & was the first year of students in Ohio that took the computerized test! When the screen blacked off, test was over & I felt I hadn't passed, turns out I had. I had a great support system that was a huge help that last 6 months. That was 21 years ago😷
