I purchased the Hands & Hearts I received everything but the Heart. Was it a mistake? Or is it sold separately?

The description says that the heart is sold separately.
The heart is not listed under the supply list. That probably means that ECS does not carry this item.
If I had ordered the pattern and the supplies together I probably would not have realized that this item wasn't available here. I would have been a little miffed.
Send Kristi at Customer Service a note and ask her about it. Use the Customer Service link at the top of the page. You will get a personal response. ECS has excellent customer service. They always try to work things out.

Nancye G would be correct in her response :) The details for this pattern are listed in the description and the embellishment that the designer calls for on this design, is one that we do not have available on our website. We buy products through a distributor so if our distributor doesn't have that specific item available, we can't get it either :( I do my best to put up a detailed description for the items that we do not carry so customers know what other items they will need prior to buying the design. Thank you :)

If you go to Etsy.com and write heart button you will find all sorts from brace to plastic to wooden ones for a resonble price. I just had look that for you. Have fun.
