Questions...
Can anyone offer any information about Kustom Krafts? Are these full cross stitches, any back stitching? Are the patterns similar to Mystic or Artesy in length and detail?

This is just a pattern. You need to buy the rest of cross stitch supplies that come with as kit as floss, needle and fabric. this pattern just 14 inches X 21 inches and required smoke 14 c. Aida cloth to be finished. Have fun. this pattern required only cross stitch. No half or quarter stitch for it.

Hi tlmcdaniel - I am working at the present time on a Kustom Kraft pattern called "Lying in Wait". It is really a fun pattern but it does have 77 gazillion thread changes. I am working on the face of the wolf right now and enjoying watching him come alive. I am finding some of the thread colors are off a shade or two of the cover photo but the girls on the chat room discussed this last week and explained it might have to do with the lighting when the photo was taken. My pattern has all full cross stitches and no backstitching. I'm not sure about others but if you choose a pattern and it doesn't say about stitches and backstitching on the blurb you are looking at on ECS write an e-mail to "contact us" and they will get right back to you. I sent an e-mail this morning and had my answer from them in 3 hours. Doesn't get better than that. Do you have a pattern already picked out? Share with us on the chat room as we like to see what other stitchers are working on. Have a great week and I hope I have helped you a little.
Cheryl
My pattern has 12 pages and after looking at Artecy and Mystic Stitch patterns I think they are quite similar.

The pattern in the picture I really like ( Glade Creek Mill). This one appears to have lots of colors too. Counted about 75 but think I am up for the challenge.

It is really beautiful and should give you many hours of enjoyment and lots of thread changes. If you go into a project knowing all the thread changes you aren't surprised and frustrated - you just move it forward.

You dont have to buy the smoke aida cloth you still can do it on white or beige or off white Aida cloth for 14 count. The color of the floss will cover everything about the surface. Have fun.

Thanks Miss Cross stitch for that advise, I usually work on n linen or even weave anyways. I have been stitching for about 25 years but have yet to tackle something this large.

tlmcdaniel, I have seen this mill. It is located in the Babcock State Park in South Eastern West Virginia. We were there in the fall when all of the leaves were ablaze with color! It should make a spectacular picture!! Let us know how you feel about it when you finish.
