Might try Nordic Needle or 123 Stitch. They're both good at carrying these fibers.

Yes Momcat Nordic needle carry all the floss of dmc if it is floss or balls.

Couldn't I substitute Hand Over-dyed floss instead of using #5 Pearl Cotton?

YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE WHATEVER YOU WANT.

Supply list is "suggested" The cross-stitch police will not come and take you away.

Make it twice -- use totally different flosses -- the two finished products will be similar but very different.

Definitely try and make your work unique

You would have to use a LOT of floss if you are using the 18 ct linen, it would need to be at least 4 strands, maybe all 6. They recommend the pearl cotton because it covers better on this bigger weave linen.

The stockings are bigger than they look on the cover...20 " long if done on the 18 ct.

I have done 5 of the Shepherds Bush stocki vs and they are extremely nice. Love working with weeks threads, they do a subtle color change as you stitch. When stitching with them do one complete stitch at a time.
