The only afghan fabric I have seen is the one you pictured. I was not impressed. It is soft. It has a loose weave. I would be concerned about the stitching coming out. In my opinion, it would need some type of backing. I personally would not attempt a project like this. I know nothing about the product that you were asking about.

Hi,
Is this wildlife afghan pattern an 18 count by Stoney Creek?
A suggestion would be to send an e-mail to 123Stitch requesting suggestions as to alternative afghan fabric that you can use other than the fireside afghan fabric that is suggested. They are very good regarding assisting with questions.
Yes, afghan material can be very expensive to buy; one reason that I'm waiting for the "Gloria" afghan material to come on sale!
Hope this helps!

Well... to take down the price on some of these pre-packaged items, I print off several copies of the coupons from Hobby Lobby (40 percent off!) and use it at Michaels or JoAnn's! Both of these stores will accept competitor's coupons. Hobby Lobby will not, so I use their coupons at the others. Besides, HL usually only has one or two of a product on the shelf at any time... afraid of theft, I guess.

I know... I'm bad... but I've got to do things to stretch my budget!
