Help
I have never cross stitched before but I still have a few pieces that my dad made me when he was overseas and I was little. They are special because he took the time to make them. I now have my own little girl and I would like to make her the "Owl Always Love You" piece. What size will the project be when it is finished? And what is included? (Fabric, thread, pattern, needle)

Like I said I am completely new to this so any pointers would be appreciated! Can't wait to start this project for my little girl!

Hello,

Welcome to our chat board community! This is a great place to ask any questions and get help for anything cross stitch related :) This design is just a counted cross stitch pattern, and is not kit. So the supplies such as the fabric, needles and floss will need to purchased separately from the pattern itself. If you click on the "Description" tab that is located underneath the picture of the design, the sizing information for the design is all listed there :)

Also, the floss and fabric that are suggested for this pattern are listed right under the picture as well in the "Supplies" tab. You can check the boxes of the floss and fabric that you need or want and purchase it all along with the pattern. Once the order is placed, we will gather up all of the items and get them shipped out to as soon as possible. I hope this information helps :) Thank you!

This is an excellent project for a first time stitcher. Since this will be your first project you obviously do not have a stash. I recommend that you buy the supplies and pattern from ECS. Add a packet of needles and you will have everything you need. The fabric will be more than you need. I recommend cutting 6" off and making the finished product a square.

This will be fun. Sometimes the patterns include basic instructions. Miss C recommend finding a YouTube video of instructions. Good idea.

Keep in touch.

WARNING: Some of us, especially me, have a strange sense of humor. We get silly. We don't mean to offend anyone.

Oh yeah!! There is no such thing is the cross-stitch police. I made it up a while back.

Your little girl will love this when you've completed it. Since you AND your little girl at doing counted cross stitch, this would be a great way of introducing her to doing cross stitch, depending on her age of course. If she is old enough and she watches you cross stitching, she might want to take up stitching herself!!!
The stitcher's do get a bit "frisky" on this message board but NOT in a bad way. We enjoy having new people to the messageboard and ANY help or advice that you might need for your project, please ask. There are a lot of cross stitchers on this message board with years and years of experience that are quite willing to assist you when you need it.

Oh, and welcome to the "chit chat"! :)
