Barb. These are beautiful work pieces. I would also frame them and hang them. Congratulations.

Beautiful, barb. It feels so good to finish a piece or two, in your case. Good luck with the framing project.

Barb,
Send pictures after you and your DH do the framing. They're wonderful!! Have you picked out the frames yet? And when you frame, are you going to add glass?

Good question, Bermuda. I would probably do the dog one without glass and add padding. I'm having some of the more rustic one done that way. She always has ready made frames to pick from. Much more affordable. Surely there is info on the internet about this technique.

I had a small Xmas bear project that was padded and it was delightful. No longer have it....grand daughter looked at me with those big blue eyes of hers with the look of such hope that grandma would offer it to her; Grandma couldn't resist.....

Bermuda...I have my eye on a black frame with textured grooves that will enhance the border around "funky cats" and I have'nt decided yet about the dog heart...my dh is handy and if I can't find the right frame, he will make it...we are watching lots of utube videos on framing and I will post when they are finished...

Can't wait to see them framed! Funky Cats is right up my alley! :)

I like "funky"!!!
If you are going to "pad" the finished pattern. What are you using for padding? The same material that a person uses to stuff pillows??? the material that comes in rolls?

There are padded and non-padded framing boards..they fit in between the back of the frame and the piece you are framing..I think you would use the padded when you want the piece to stand out a little from the frame...I am really new to the framing part...so I am reading all that I can find out...I have some smaller older pieces I will experiment on....

Thanks, Barb, goes to show how simple I am. I thought they stuff it with something. Using the board makes the job much easier I am sure.
