Washing and Framing
I have never washed a finished project. I used to keep my work in a trash bag whenever I was away from it for any length of time and it always looked like it just came out of the package. Someone posted about sewing on the inside of the frame and I was amazed I never thought of that, so simple and I just turn it over when not sewing! To the person wanting to know about framing: I saw a very good video on you tube by Tara C. I am going to try to frame my own from now on.

I have always washed my finished projects before I frame them. I wash them on gentle cycle and hang them to air dry. Then I press a piece of lightweight fusible interfacing on the back to cover the stitches before I do my framing. I have always done my own framing for all these years.

never thought about interfacing other projects; I interface kitchen towels, tea towels, etc..
will give it a try next time.. seems it will really give a finished look, even thought it will not be seen once it's framed. sounds good..
