restoring framed counted cross-stitch
Any suggestions on how to remove the stain in the upper right hand corner of the work pictures. It is DMC on linen.
Thanks a lot

What is it? And how long has it been there? Recent? Or ancient?

Try to wash it with regular detergen as Tide. Can I know the name of your pattern please and who make them? Many thanks for a respond.

This pattern is from Ginnie Thompson originals " Classic Oriental Designs" 1981. I would try to wash it but don't want to remove it from its frame.

I bought a product called Restoration, about $16 for 2 lbs. container, but the crystals will go a long way. It removes stains and yellowing. I had an old piece if aida that yellowed on a fold when it was stored, and it got the yellowing out. Followed the directions to soak. It is not a soap, but whatever it is, it worked.

Thank you. I will look for it.I don't want to reframe this piece and was wondering if I could apply a small amount to the area involved
