about thread orders
When I purchase a pattern, how do I know how many of each thread color to order to complete the pattern? If I order 1 of each color is that enough to complete the pattern? If not how am I to know how much to order?

Kristi has set up the supply lists so that you can go ahead and see how many skeins you will need. For this pattern, you should only need one of each. There are other patterns on this site that do require multiple skeins and those numbers are reflected in the supply list.

For example, "Sweet Rememberance" by Mystic Stitch is offered here as well. While a stitcher would only need one skein of most of the colors, there are some colors in the list that have a 2 beside them, indicating that 2 skeins are needed.

And of course, if you do run out of thread, you can always revisit this site to purchase more! Yay! :)

Hope that helps!!

When you order a pattern/chart the company that created the pattern will almost always tell you how many skeins of each color to buy. It's usually in parentheses after the color number. If it's not there, it's usually safe to assume one skein will do--unless it's a very large design, 24" x 24" for instance. If you stick with the same company -- i.e. DMC, Anchor, or any of the several others out there, it is fairly easy to buy a skein of the same color with no problem. Be careful if you order kits--some of the companies make their own thread and the numbers don't correspond. However there are conversion charts available so you can go from one company to another -- just be careful because some of the colors are only "close" to the original recommendation.
