This is just a pattern. you have to buy the fabric which 25 ct. plus the DMC floss, the count is 350 w X 475 h

plus the needle to finish the picture that you had bought as a cross stitch pattern. Have fun.

Heaven and Earth Designs are huge patterns! If I was goimg to do this, I would purchase a hand-dyed blue fabric (you wouldn't get the "halo" effect in the background shown, but they are variegated). I think you should ask Kristi in Customer Service here (see brown bar with white lettering at top of page) to.list the supplies for this.
They often use many colors of DMC (like 65 or many more). If you love the pattern, go for it! It will be a very big project but absolutely beautiful...

Another thought in case you do NOT want to do the whole background is to do what Su states which is to use a variegated color background or you can check with the HAED website where they can actually remove the background for you if you haven't bought the chart yet. If you do have the chart, a variegated fabric would be my choice.
