printed versus counted cross stitch
How can I tell if a kit is for a printed versus counted cross stitch. I am looking to give this as a gift to a friend and although I am comfortable with a counted cross stitch kit, they are a beginner and would be more comfortable if the design was pre-printed on the fabric. Please advise. Thank you.

Regards,
Steve

If you look at the lrft hand side if a page here at everythingcrossstitch.com
you will see a listing which reads "Stamped Projects". This one that you were looking at is indeed a counted cross stitch kit.
There are some very nice stamped designs. I hope that your friend has fun with stitching! He or she is welcome to join our cross stitch chat here. We are not employees of ECS, but a group of stitchers with different ages, abilities and experience. Hope this helps you...

Hello Steve,

Su Pitt is correct in her reply :) We do have some stamped kits available on our website and they are located in a different location on here. Under the Search box on the left side, just click on the link that says "Stamped Projects". Once on that page, you can then click on "Stamped Kits" and you will be taken to the section where we just have kits where the fabric is already stamped. I hope this helps and welcome to the ECS message boards!! It's a very informative but fun community :)
