Frame
I just finished this beautiful cross stitch wreath for a Christmas present for my son and can not find a frame. Does anyone know where to get one. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I will check into Herrschners. Scary when you work on something for 6 months then can't finish it. Thank you again.

You still need to mount it on foamcore or board that fits the frame. About 16 x 16 sounds nice. Are you familiar with framing? A 60% off sale at Michael's might be worth a look.

Something this BEAUTIFUL deserves professional framing!! Michaels has a sale going; also I've used Hobby Lobby!

Just make sure whoever is framing it is familiar with framing stitched items. It IS just a little different!

Just my 2 cents!

I went to Michaels and the framer was very nasty and didn't seem to want to help. I found a good video on YouTube and thought of doing it myself. That thought quickly left my head. Went to Jerry's Artarama. They ordered a real nice frame for the size I needed. Had a coupon for 65% off. Came to $42. and change. He will have the frame in next week and will do it all for me including the mounting, and spacers between the glass so the humidity in this state (Fla) won't ruin it and the professional finish on the back. While I wait too. He said roughly 2 hours. He charges $20.00. I have seen others and he does a beautiful job. I would have messed it up. Question...do I tip the framer?

suzbrand23: why not? If he does a good job and you are happy with the results I say sure! Also, referrals would really help him get the word out to other stitchers!!

Remember Ann Landers? Paraphrasing, she once said that tipping the owner was not necessary, they were already getting a slice of the pie. But, persons giving exceptional service should always be remembered. Always remembered that rule of thumb...amounts of remembrance are something else...I would rather over-tip than be seen as a cheapskate and as I've gotten older, I'm a sucker for special attention. About age 50, I suddenly became invisible to restaurant employees...and it was literally overnight. Didn't understand it and instantly became a sensitive "issue". Discussion among pals ranging from 35 to 55 decided, if you weren't with a man or large group, women were invisible. It came to all of us, eventually, and when I ran into one those girls recently at Petsmart, we laughed because her daughter had "hit the wall" and was furious about it! :)

I know all about being ignored as a customer. but they don't know im in customer service too. and im very very firm and blunt about the service im paying for they don't make the same mistake again. was in a restaurant the other day was seated the forgotten about . dh just looked at me and shrugged. that did it stood up and got waiters attention all the sudden we had service lol
