Hi! I'm trying to find the 284Z gold metallic thread for this pattern. When I ordered the whole set (pattern and ticked all the materials needed), the 284Z gold metallic thread was not included. When I recently checked it, it wasn't on the list of threads and I could not find it anywhere! Can someone help? Thanks!

The number on this DMC gold metallic thread is 284ZA...but ECS does not carry this product. I'm pretty sure 123Stitch.com carries it...at least, they did last winter. :)

Unfortunately, this is an item we do not carry on our website so we can not put it in our supply list online. I have, however, added this detail for the design to the "Description" of the pattern so it will be listed under that tab from now on for future customers. This is a very old pattern & a very old metallic. Marilyn's website suggests DMC Light Effects E3852, an antique gold. $1.89 at ECS. Also, Rainbow Gallery's Petite Treasure braid PB01. I think there's a Kreinik #4 braid. Any dark, old gold color works.

I don't trust the old Z series on spools, because it ruined a picture I loved by tarnishing. I don't know what metal they used for the golds, but they didn't have the mylars & polymers we have now.
